The Baltic Way is the event which occurred on August 23, 1989 when approximately two million people joined their hands to form an over 600 kilometer long human chain across the three Baltic states (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). This event was a Lithuanians', Latvians' and Estonians' protest against Soviet occupation.

The Song and Dance festival - an unique event, organized only in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. By the way, the second video is from Latvian song festival, where Latvians are singing traditional Lithuanian song.
We are celebrating a millennium of the name of Lithuania this year, so we'll have a very big song festival in summer.

Lithuania is a small country in Europe, near the Baltic sea. The first written mention of Lithuania is found in a medieval German manuscript in 1009. So this year is a millennium of the name of Lithuania.
Lithuanians were the last pagans in Europe and very good warriors. Lithuania was really big (from the Baltic to the Black sea) in the Middle ages, but finally this country was occupied by Russians. Lithuania got its first independence in 1918, but in 1940 Soviets occupied this country again. However, in the 1990 Lithuania got its second independence and was the first country to separate from USSR.

Our flag is yellow-green-red ([link]), I know it seems like an African one, but it's not! Yellow symbolizes the sun, green - the nature and red - the blood, spilled for our country. And it has nothing to do with Africa. xD
However, there is a sculpture of a black man on the building of Lithuanian embassy in Bern, Switzerland xD I don't know if Lithuanians wanted to make fun of themselves or if evil Swisses wanted to make fun of us xD Whatever. [link]
By the way, that white guy near our flag in the first picture is our blazon, and it's called Vytis.

Lithuanians aren't Slavs! We are Balts. The only other still existing country of Balts is Latvia. Lithuanian and Latvian languages are similiar, but we can understand just a very little of each other languages without learning. We have some very similar words with absolutely different meanings(: Anyway, Lithuanian is a very old and the most authentic language of all the Indo-European languages. Some foreigners say that the most evil character to pronounce in our language is "ė". You have to pronounce it like.. well.. just ėėėė. xD
